AFTER THE KAMIEŃ-STONE 2012 FAIR

We would like to thank everyone for  the time spend together during the Kamień-Stone fair in Poznań, during which we had the opportunity to exchange experience gained  throughout the passing year and talk about the condition of the stone industry in Poland.

This year we have prepared many attractions for the visitors of the fair. Just  like last year, the ''Master of Sandblasting'' competition was extremely popular and because of that, we have decided to awared two competitors. The second-place prize and a one year subscription of Świat Kamienia went to Mr Tadeusz Hirschfeld while the winner, Mr Mariusz Żoch, received 3 rolls of  foil worth 1000zł. The winner was pleasantly surprised since he was not aware of the prize. Mr Mariusz was mostly interested in the ''Master of Sandblasting'' title. We congratulate the winners and encourage the rest of the participants to improve next year.

Our ''Stonemasons on a Journey'' exhibition was also very successful. It presented photos taken during group travels of Polish stonemasons to India, Brazil, Turkey and  China during the years  2009-2012 organised by organizers of stone fairs from all over the world, the Świat Kamienia editorial office and the Stone Industry Employers' Association. The objective of the journey was visiting stone fairs, processing factories, stone quarries as well as familiarization with foreign cultures and historical treasures. We hope that the colorfull photographies have added charm to Your visit to the fair.
