NEW DIAMOND WIRES
Diamant Boart is currently introducing to the market a new generation of diamond wires for granite quarries. New wires with a diameter of 12 mm are produced with the use of an innovative technology created by the company which is owned by Husqvarna Group AB.
All new wires are available with 40 beads per running metre and are used for intensive cutting of both hard and soft granites. It is possible to produce those new diamond wires thanks to the improvement of the production process, especially during the phase of pressing of metal-diamond elements. The result? First users recorded longer life of wires.
- The tests carried out in Brazil, Norway or in the USA gave extremely good results which made us certain about the future of this cutting wire – says Valentino Canepari, a product manager at Diamant Boart.
- First responses of the market are enthusiastic; the efficiency of diamond wires has gone up as much as 30%!
The new wires turned out to be more efficient as compared to the 11 mm diameter wires. What is important, cutting parameters remained the same when moving from 11 to 12 mm wires.
