The competition is supposed to be another way of promoting natural stone. As the organisers in Poland, Turkey, Egypt, Brazil and India assume, the jury will choose two winners in each country. The best students will go to places famous for best natural stones! In the jury we will find representatives of the branch, stonemasons, architects, scientists and, of course, representatives of national branch magazines.

- 10 winners, including two Polish students, will get return tickets and accommodation. Soon we are going to decide about the formula of the competition and the prize. Most probably the winners will be invited to the country of the sponsor to visit quarries and factories located there. Another interesting idea is to finance the participation at Marmomacc fair in September 2015 and the stay in Italy. – The most important thing is that the president of WONASA accepted our proposal to award most promising specialists in shaping space not only in Poland – says Adriana Czekaj, a chief editor of Świat Kamienia magazine.

The main goal of the World Natural Stone Association is to show that stone, as the most ecological building material, is able to replace many other, less environmentally friendly, building materials. The organisation has two members in Poland, they are Pamir and Hermes Gabrostone.
