All the exhibitors of Kamień-Stone 2010 fair, which is going to be held in November, may submit (free of charge) information about the new products from their offer, which is going to be published in a special guide for the visitors of the fair and on the website of the organiser of the fair. The offer is limited to new products and technological solutions which have not been submitted before. These new products, submitted by the exhibitors, will be specially marked on the stands by the organiser with the new sign.
The IdealStones warehouse from Rudna Mała near Głogów Małopolski has two types of marbles imported from Indonesia in its offer. Their names are Dune Beige and Petra Beige. These stones have not been available on the Polish market so far. Dune Beige is, as the name suggests, a beige marble, similar to Crema Marfil.
A concrete fountain, a wall and some gravel paths in the Square of the Silesian Piasts in Piława Górna will be replaced by the floor made of granite slabs, pavements made of paving stones and a stone fountain. One of the most important stone centres in Poland will finally get its stone signature. The first stage of the project will have finished in November this year. The total costs of the project will amount to 280,000 PLN (ca. 70,000 euro).
The 9th National Congress of Open-Pit Mining, being a part of the Polish Mining Congress 2010, will be held in Cracow from 9 to 10 September 2010 . It is going to be the biggest event in open-pit mining sector in 2010 in Poland. The congress is under the patronage of Waldemar Pawlak, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Poland and the Minister of Economy.
From 10 to 12 June 2010 the town of Hořice (Czech Republic) hosted the stone fair Kámen Hořice.
The new Stone World warehouse was opened on Saturday, 8 May, in Grzędy near Warsaw by Warsaw-Cracow road.
The open days at Tempus Polska were held on 21-22 May (Friday-Saturday) in Żary. The event was a chance to present promotional stone products to the customers and to spend a nice time. The visitors could take part in the demonstration of stone processing and could taste traditional barbecue dishes.
The representatives of the Association of the Stone Industry Employers (ZPBK) visited Spain from 2 to 6 May 2010. Tomasz Żółkiewicz, Krzysztof Piaseczny, Roman Mitoraj and Bogusław Solima visited Spanish companies which deal with stone extraction, stone processing and production of machines for stone sector located in Galicia region. Particular visits were prepared by Cluster del Granito from Galicia which helped to organise the whole trip and co-financed the stay of Polish stonemasons (accommodation, meals, travels to companies).
The following representatives of Polish stone companies were invited by the organisers to take part in Carrara Marmotec 2010 fair CarraraFiere: Ryszard and Piotr Klementowicz from Cracow-based Kamico company and Dawid Swatkowski and Katarzyna Kiertowicz from MSG Granit company from Kolonia Zabłudów. The Italian Institute of Foreign Trade represented by Ryszard Paszkowski was the Polish coordinator who flew with Polish stonemasons to Italy.
A granite heart will be placed on the grave of the nameless boy whose body was found on 19 March in the pond in Cieszyn-Gułdowy.
