The monument will be made of two types of sandstone. On the inclined plate made of light beige stone there will be a smaller panel made of white material. In the central part of the obelisk there will be a military eagle made of bronze and an inscription.
According to the concept accepted by the author (Jacek Ciepliński), the monument is to be simple and elegant. In its centre there will be a military eagle made of bronze and an inscription "To the unknown soldier fallen for Poland" as well as dates "1914-1920". This is a nod to the inscriptions which were found on the pre-war monument, which was unveiled in 1925. The new monument will be moved closer to Józef Piłsudski monument. Memory lights will be put on both sides of the sandstone plate. On the stone surface there will be the Cross of Valour and a symbol of the War Order of Virtuti Militari. The company that is going to erect the monument will be known soon. The initiators want this monument to be ready in summer next year.
