International Trade Fair for Natural Stone and Stone Processing will be held on 13-16 May 2015 on the premises of the Exhibition Centre in Nuremberg.
This event is held every second year and is the most important meeting place for the whole branch in Germany. Last year the fair was visited by about 20,000 visitors mainly from Germany and neighbouring countries. 400 exhibitors representing over 30 countries have already confirmed their participation in the fair. The organisers have prepared 18,000 sq metres of exhibition area. Stone+tec has been divided into the following sections: natural stone, technology and gravestones. Various types of granites, sandstones, basalts and marbles will be exhibited at the fair. One of the fair’s guiding themes will be applying innovative materials such as Dekton or Lapitec. Moreover, the schedule of the event includes presenting German Natural Stone Awards for the most interesting construction project implementations. This is one of the most highly valued architectural awards in Germany granted every second year by the German Natural Stone Association (DNV) and the Association of German Architects (BDA). But it is not over. During the seminar, Christoph Sattler, an architect from Munich, is going to analyse application of stone in architecture. Sattler is thought to be one of the most important modern architects in Germany. He won the competition for the project of Potsdamer Platz and Leipziger Platz in Berlin. Presentation of the works entitled “Made in Germany” (things made in natural stone) will be another event of the programme. Feel free to visit our magazine’s stand at the fair in Nuremberg (Hall 3A, stand 440).
